     Geneva Faye Davis, age 92, of Lamar, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Truman Healthcare Center where she had been a resident for the past four years.

     Geneva was born April 17, 1919, at Harrison, Arkansas, to Jesse and Ella (Wilkins) Dollar.  On December 19, 1936, in Newton County, Arkansas, she married Glover Davis.  They moved to Lamar in 1952 where Geneva worked in housekeeping at Barton County Memorial Hospital and as a seamstress for Big Smith for several years. Glover and Geneva had celebrated nearly 62 years together before his passing October 6, 1998.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; her son-in-law, Stanley "Buck" Buchanan in 1995; her son, Carol Davis in 2008; a brother; and three sisters.

     Survivors include her daughter, Norma Buchanan of Lamar; two sisters, Leota Cowell, Harrison, Arkansas, and Harlene Schellinberg, Jasper, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Cindy Morris, Lamar and Tim Buchanan, Cumming, Georgia; four great-grandchildren, Jeremy Buchanan, Aimee Benford Rabb, Jordan Thibodeaux, and Katelyn Buchanan; and five great-great-grandchildren, Brendan, Michael, Conner, and Payton Buchanan, and Carter Rabb.

     A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18th at Daniel Funeral Home with Rev. John Dille officiating.  Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

     Memorial contributions are suggested to Truman Healthcare Center.

I have fond memories of your Mother and Grandmother. I know that she loved
everyone of you and She will leave a void in your lives..I will keep you i my

Tim and family, Sorry for your loss. I have had the honor of caring for your
Grandma at THC several times over the past year. She was a very sweet lady. Will
keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

What a wonderful woman, how she touched us all. We all learned a lot from her,
and take it with us till the day we all meet again. May the Lord comfort each
one, until that time.
