William Marshall "Billy" Cheek Jr., age 40, of Lamar died Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Barton County Memorial Hospital.

Billy was born November 22, 1971 in Lamar, MO to William Marshall and Shirley Mae (Berry) Cheek Sr.  Billy had worked at Thorco Industries, Golden Business Forms in Golden City, MO, and Pennington Seed in Greenfield, MO.  He loved to fish, spend time with his family and listen to loud music.

Billy leaves behind his mother Shirley; three daughters, Coleen Cheek, Rebecca Cheek, and Kayla Cheek, all of Lamar; two sisters, Diana and Ray Underwood of Locust Grove, AR and Denise Cheek of Lamar; and several nieces and nephews.

Billy was preceded in death by his father, William Marshall Cheek Sr.

A memorial service will be 6:00 pm Friday May 25, 2012 at Daniel Funeral Home with time to visit with the family following the service.

Dear Cheek family,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your son, brother and
to his daughters, their father.
He was a grade school classmate at Golden City
and I can still invision his bright smile and hearty laugh.
Praying the Lord be
with you all in the days to come, giving you comfort though the hard times. He
will be sorely missed but certainly not forgotten. RIP Billy.

Thank you all for your kind words during the loss of our father, son brother ,
uncle and friend. He will be and has already been greatly missed. Thank you all
again.He was my only brother and I miss our chats and even our quarrels. He's in
Heaven with our father so I know he is at peace.
