Dear Kellenberger Children and Families-
Having your parents in the St Louis area for 10 years was such a blessing for us and for our little church. We loved them and enjoyed many wonderful times of fellowship. Their hearts were always in Lamar with you kids and the grandchildren-it was hard to see them eventually move back, but we were thankful for you all to be united again.
The first time we met your dad he drove through an icy and blinding snowstorm to get to St Louis to start a new job. We were surprised to see him under the circumstances (he stayed with us), and when he went to work the next morning, he was the only one to show up! Being from NW Iowa, he didn't let a little blizzard stop him. And thus began our relationship with your dad, and soon to follow, your mom. They were hard working and creative. "Can't do that" wasn't in your Dad's vocabulary.
We want to assure you of our continued prayers for...

Kellenberger family,
We were very saddened to hear this news. As stated in some of the other tributes, fond memories of when your parents had the cafe in town and we would "hang out". Rod and I now live across the way from the house you lived in at that time. May you feel God's peace and comfort and the love of those around you during this time.

Chad, Kyle, Jodi, Janese, and Janelle,
The word "shocked" would be an understatement to explain how I felt when I heard of your parents passing. Your parents were a joy to all of us that knew them and I know they will be greatly missed. My the Lord be your comfort in these times that we can't explain.
I wish I could be there to express my condolences in person, but please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
God Bless,
Chris

Dear Kellenberger & Miller families,
(Sorry the original msg cut off.) We know our grief at this sudden loss doesn't compare to the ache that is in your hearts. There are so many memories from our growing-up years of nice times spent at the Kellenbergers. Orlie's outgoing, friendly personality made him easy to know and love. Learning to know her in our adult years, Mary's kind and peaceful ways were always so pleasant.
Our prayer is that our Lord will be near to comfort you with the hope of being reunited with your dear loved ones in the heavenly realms. May He bring healing and peace to each of your hearts in His own way and time.
Our heartfelt sympathy...

Dear Kellenbergers,
I was so saddened to hear of the loss of Orlie and Mary. As the reality set in, reflections, images and wonderful memories came to mind. I remember their smiles, childhood family visits, and the joy my parents (Cliff and Vi) had while traveling thru Lamar. Although I hadn't seen Orlie and Mary for many years I can still see their graceful smiles and I'm so fortunate to have known them. My thoughts and prayers go out to you.

We were so sad to hear about the death of Mr.& Mrs. Orlan Kellenberger. We didn't have an opportunity to meet Mary, but we had Orlan visit in our home twice this spring. I love to visit & my husband is also a pilot. We talked at length on several topics. We pray that God will help your family & friends get through this loss.

Chad and Kelly and family, you've all been in our thoughts and prayers much this past week. I've especially been thinking of Madison, Margaret, Molly, and Chase, for it's so hard to lose two grandparents at the same time. I hope each of you kids will keep something of your grandparents and cherish the good memories.
