It's always hard to find the right words when friends lose someone special, but
I hope these words bring you comfort---God is big, and He is there for you.
Praying for your family right now.

Joe is my first cousin and took me and my two brothers to our first KC Royals
game when I was in 3rd grade. That was a pretty cool thing for a 19 year to do
for his cousins! Joe will be missed.

Our family's sympathy to your family.
Joe was about my sister Jane's age and she
always remarked about how smart he was. A Bean Trait.
We wish you the best in
this long drawn out ordeal.

Joe is my first cousin and has always held a special place in my heart. When our
Grandparents passed away, it really hit me hard. I still remember Joe taking me
by the arm and walking me down to the pond on our Grandparents farm, and
consoling me, and letting me know that everything was going to be ok, and that
our Grandparents are in a better place. I will never forget that.

You will be
missed Joe.

I had Joe as a professor of history when I was a 26 year old freshman at
Concordia Lutheran College in Austin. I got a F in that class. This was too
much for me. He taught the course at a Jr or Sr level, many complained and I
retook the class the following year and made an "A". He was a year
younger than I was. I had a little problem with that.
