Colee Townsley-Grubb, age 26, of Joplin, Missouri passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Freeman West Hospital.

Colee was born April 14, 1989 in Lamar to Lance and Jerri (Soma) Townsley.  She graduated from Lamar High School in 2007 before attending MSU and later pursued a degree in radiology at Missouri Southern.  In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Colee was currently working as a sales associate at Joplin Sam’s Club.

On August 1, 2014, Colee married the love of her life, Sean Grubb and, on December 21, 2015, they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Kenadi Lane, to their family.  Colee’s quick wit and keen sense of humor drew people to her and she loved the fellowship of her wide circle of close friends.  She was a devoted KU fan and very enthusiastic about her Jayhawks, an avid animal lover and was especially fond of her Corgi, Nelli.  Colee found joy in helping others and was always generous with her time and talents.  Her final gift was the wonderful legacy she shared by being an organ donor.

Survivors include her husband, Sean and daughter, Kenadi, of the home; her mother, Jerri Soma, Lamar; her sister, Chelle (Mark) Gardner, Lamar; her brother, Joey (Jenni) Garringer, El Dorado Springs, Missouri; her five nieces and nephews whom she adored, Jilli, Trevyn, Brody, Tayah, and Kyler; her parents-in-law, Bob and Pat Grubb, Joplin; brother-in-law, Bryan Grubb (Heather); several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; extended family; and a host of friends.

Colee was preceded in death by her father, Lance Townsley; and grandparents, Merrill and Beverly Soma and Ray and B.J. Gonzalez.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15th at Daniel Funeral Home.  Her final resting place will be next to her dad in Lake Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to The Kenadi Grubb Education Fund and may be sent to Lamar Bank & Trust or Daniel Funeral Home.
