It was just happenstance that I learned of Danny's passing. He was a much beloved and dear friend. I'm sorry that I could not be there to pay my respects to the family and to show them exactly what Danny meant to me. We were best friends growing up and my children have many "Danny" stories. His legacy will live long through his family and friends.
All my love and well wishes,
Kenny

We were surprised and saddened when we heard of Danny's passing. I always enjoyed visiting with him and it seems we always took a little extra time to visit with each other when we would meet.
Our Thoughts and prayers are with you all.

So sorry and so shocked to learn of Danny's passing. Lots of memories during our growing up years in the Methodist Church--in Sunday School, Choir, and all church activities as well as classmates all the way through school. He was a great guy, and he will be missed by many. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

A story in admiration of and respect for my step-father:

Dan came into my life years ago when he and my mom began seeing each other. It was my freshman year of college. Our meeting was significant to me because it was the first time I actually liked someone Mom was dating. He struck me right away as a gentleman, a first impression that would never change. He went on to become my step-father in 2000 when I was already on my own as an adult living out of the area. But in the early 2000's, Dan and Mom offered for me to stay with them for a year while I returned for some additional college work. That's when I learned that He and I shared similar dreams of travel and adventure. I remember how excited he was with my studies abroad and other trips out of the country. We'd talk about them for hours over coffee.

I learned that he also loved to dance when he, Mom, and I signed up for lessons in traditional dance. He apparently was already skilled, and proved to a patient dance instructor himself.

Later when I married and had my two girls, Dan automatically took on the role of grandpa. He treated Liliana and Mariela as if they were his natural grandchildren.

I am very blessed for the dedication Dan had toward this father-daughter relationship, something I would have never experienced had it not been for him. This I will treasure forever.
