I am so sorry to hear of this. Normally someone from Lamar will let me know when a friend passes away, but unfortunately this didn't happen. I go back 30+ years with Doug and I've always thought highly of him, and we shared many laughs over the years. I am sorry I missed his service. He was a friend and will be missed.

Thinking and praying that you will find comfort and peace in your memories. I have much admiration for you, as you were there by his side when he needed you the most. That is the truest of love. So sorry to hear of your loss. May God bless you and time heal your broken heart.

Of ALL the people we have met during our past 12 years on the road, we have never met another person like Doug that made us feel like family. It was an honor and a privilege to know this man; Doug was truly one of a kind. To all his family and friends, you are in our hearts.

One heck of a guy...I only knew him for a short time, but it didnt take long to see that he was a great man. I saw him last week. He was shooting pool. He had this pretty difficult bank shot set up. He said "Side pocket.." and tapped his cue on the pocket. He dropped that 6 ball in that side pocket effortlessly, like it was just part of him. He just looked up and smiled. :-) We'll miss ya, Doug.
